Skyline Commissary

The Skyline Commissary, also known as the Rock Store, is a historic building in Skyline, Alabama, built in 1935 as part of the New Deal's Resettlement Administration. Originally serving as a community hub and general store, it provided food to co-op members and local residents until the early 2000s. In 2005, it was transformed into a heritage museum, showcasing local limestone architecture and the region's history. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is operated by the Skyline Farms Heritage Association, offering limited public access.
