Detroit Opera House (restored historic theater)

The Detroit Opera House reopened in 1996 after an extensive restoration of the 1922-era theater originally designed by C. Howard Crane. It serves as the permanent home of Michigan Opera Theatre and regularly hosts opera, ballet, and touring Broadway productions. The building's restoration preserved ornate plasterwork, murals, and a horseshoe-shaped auditorium that reflect early 20th-century theater design.
