Oakwood, also known as Trumble Cottage, is a historic plantation house built in 1877 near Gadsden, South Carolina. This 1+1⁄2-story vernacular Victorian cottage showcases Queen Anne style details, including a charming one-story porch adorned with scroll-sawn brackets and an ornate gabled dormer. The property also features two slave cabins, a double pen log barn, a corn crib, a frame well house, and additional storage buildings, offering a glimpse into the region's rich history. Oakwood was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Southern heritage.
