William P. Hobby Airport

William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is Houston's centrally located commercial airport named for William P. Hobby, who served as Governor of Texas from 1917 to 1921. The airport dates to the 1920s as one of Houston's earliest aviation facilities and was officially renamed to honor Hobby's public service. Hobby Airport continues to serve domestic and some international flights as a major transportation facility for the city.
