Twin Parks

Twin Parks is a notable housing development in the Bronx, New York City, recognized for its innovative architectural design and community-focused planning. Completed in the early 1970s, it consists of 2,250 apartments, schools, and daycare centers, divided into Twin Parks East and West. Despite its initial acclaim as a progressive urban renewal project aimed at fostering integration and combating neighborhood decline, Twin Parks faced significant challenges, including violence and a tragic fire in 2022 that claimed 17 lives.
