Ryman Auditorium (Former Union Gospel Tabernacle)

Ryman Auditorium was completed in 1892 as the Union Gospel Tabernacle and later renamed for its builder Thomas G. Ryman. It served as the longtime home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 until the show moved in 1974. The Ryman underwent major restorations and today operates as a live performance venue and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
