Texas Motor Speedway's inaugural NASCAR Cup Series event

Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth opened in the mid-1990s and hosted its first NASCAR Cup Series race in 1997, establishing the venue as a regular stop on the national stock car racing circuit.
