Charlestown Navy Yard - USS Constitution

The Charlestown Navy Yard, established by the U.S. Navy in 1801, is one of the nation's oldest naval shipyards and is the long-time home berth of USS Constitution, launched in 1797. The yard's dry docks, slipways, and historic shipbuilding infrastructure were used throughout the 19th and 20th centuries and now form part of Boston National Historical Park. Periodic restorations and maintenance of USS Constitution are carried out at the yard's historic facilities.
