Dallas Hall

Dallas Hall is a historic building located on the campus of Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas. Constructed in 1915, it was designed by the architectural firm Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge, drawing inspiration from the Roman Pantheon and Thomas Jefferson's architectural style. As the first building on campus, it originally housed most university operations and remains a central landmark today. The building is notable for its Georgian architecture and monumental size, which contributed to SMU's nickname, 'The Hilltop.' Dallas Hall has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978 and continues to host important university events such as convocations and graduations.
