The Painted Ladies (Postcard Row at Alamo Square)

The Painted Ladies are a row of late-19th-century Victorian and Edwardian houses on Steiner Street facing Alamo Square Park, often called 'Postcard Row' for their photogenic alignment. The houses were subjects of 20th-century preservation and color-restoration efforts that popularized the term 'painted ladies' for multicolored Victorian homes. The row has been widely photographed and was featured in the opening credits of the television series Full House.
