Library of Congress - public exhibitions and reader services

The Library of Congress is the research library of the U.S. Congress and offers free public exhibitions in the Thomas Jefferson Building as well as guided and self-guided tours. Members of the public can obtain a Library of Congress Reader Identification Card to use the reading rooms and research collections, subject to registration requirements. The institution also hosts public programs and rotating displays drawn from its extensive collections.
