Volunteer Park Conservatory - historic public Victorian greenhouse

The Volunteer Park Conservatory, completed in 1912, is one of the few intact public Victorian-style conservatories in the region and houses a diverse collection of tropical and subtropical plants. The glass-and-iron structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and operates as a city-run conservatory offering educational programs and plant displays. Its formal rooms and seasonal exhibits preserve early 20th-century greenhouse design while serving contemporary botanical and community uses.
