San Francisco Ferry Building

The San Francisco Ferry Building opened in 1898 at the foot of Market Street and served as a primary ferry terminal for bay commuters. The building underwent major restoration completed in 2003 and now houses a marketplace, shops, and a popular weekday farmers' market. Its clock tower is a distinctive feature on the Embarcadero waterfront.
