Ford Piquette Avenue Plant (Model T birthplace)

The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant opened in 1904 as Ford Motor Company's second purpose-built factory and is where the Model T was developed and first produced in the early 20th century. Henry Ford and his early engineering team worked at the plant from 1904 until operations moved in 1910. The building now operates as a museum with preserved machinery, period vehicles, and guided tours about early automotive manufacturing.
