The Frick Collection (Frick Mansion)

The Frick Collection occupies the former Fifth Avenue mansion of industrialist Henry Clay Frick and opened to the public as a museum in 1935. The museum houses a notable collection of Old Master paintings, European sculpture, and decorative arts assembled by Frick. The building and collection are representative of Gilded Age private collecting and domestic display in Manhattan.
