Peter Johnsen Rooming House

The Peter Johnsen Rooming House is a historic red brick building located in downtown Sycamore, Illinois, recognized as part of the Sycamore Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Built between 1862 and 1876, it originally functioned as a boarding house until the 1970s, when it was converted into apartments. The building is notable for its connection to the Heidikelin family, who operated the boarding house in the early 20th century and were known for their popular meals that drew locals to the establishment.
