Clube do Choro de Brasília

The Clube do Choro de Brasília is a vibrant cultural association dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Choro music, located in the heart of Brasília. Established in 1977, the club has a rich history, including a significant revival in the 1990s and a stunning new headquarters designed by renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer, inaugurated in 2011. The venue, known as Espaço Cultural do Choro, features a concert hall, a café, and the Raphael Rabello School of Choro, the first of its kind in Brazil. The club has hosted over 2,500 performances and was recognized as an intangible heritage of Brasília in 2008. Notably, it recently hosted a surprise concert by Paul McCartney in 2023, highlighting its importance in the cultural landscape of the city.
