Designed in the Italianate style, it features a central gable, an ornate front porch, and distinctive flushboarding that mimics stone. Constructed by George T. Gale and his son, the house reflects the innovative spirit of its owners, who operated a pioneering lumberyard in Kendall Square, notable for being the first to incorporate a rail spur for efficient lumber delivery.
