Mantri Manai

Mantri Manai, also known as Manthiri Manai, is a historic palace located in Nallur, Jaffna, Sri Lanka, recognized as an archaeological protected monument since 2007. This palace is linked to the Jaffna kingdom and is believed to have served as a residence for a minister during the reign of King Cankili before the kingdom's fall to the Portuguese. The structure showcases a blend of European and Dravidian architectural styles, featuring an ornamental gateway, a large arched porch, and intricate wooden carvings. Visitors can explore its two-storey layout, which includes underground rooms and secret tunnels, while nearby historical sites like the Sattanathar temple and Cankilian Thoppu enhance the cultural experience of this significant landmark.
