Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA)

Founded in 1980, MOCA documents and interprets the history, culture, and experiences of people of Chinese descent in the United States. The museum moved into a purpose-renovated facility in Manhattan's Chinatown at 215 Centre Street and reopened there in 2009. Its collection includes historic documents, photographs, oral histories, and material culture used in rotating and permanent exhibitions and educational programs.
