Alice Austen House

The Alice Austen House at 2 Hylan Boulevard was the home and studio of pioneering photographer Alice Austen (1866–1952) and now operates as a museum dedicated to her life and work. Austen produced a large archive of late-19th- and early-20th-century vernacular photography, including portraits and documentary images of New York life. The site is preserved as a historic house museum and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
