Steamer Company Number 5

Steamer Company Number 5 is a historic fire station located at 200 West Marshall Street in Richmond, Virginia. Designed by Wilfred Emory Cutshaw, this late Italianate style building features a unique triangular plan and served as a firehouse from 1883 to 1968. It reflects the architectural style common in the Jackson Ward area and combines municipal functionality with local design elements. Today, it houses The Loft, a wedding and events venue, and Gallery 5, an arts center, while previously hosting the Virginia Fire & Police Museum, showcasing the state's fire and police history.
