Anderson House (Society of the Cincinnati mansion)

Constructed for Larz and Isabel Anderson in the early 20th century, Anderson House is a Beaux-Arts/Georgian Revival mansion on Massachusetts Avenue that now houses the Society of the Cincinnati and its collections. The building's formal rooms, decorative plasterwork, and period interiors exemplify Gilded Age domestic architecture and town-house planning on Embassy Row. The property is designated a National Historic Landmark.
