Pension Fund Building

The Pension Fund Building, now home to the Theatre-on-Terazije, is an architectural gem in Belgrade, designed by Russian architect Grigorije Samojlov and completed in 1939. Originally built on the site of historic taverns, it features a blend of academism and modernism with Art Deco influences. The building's striking facade showcases a hierarchy of windows and decorative elements, while the interior boasts a grand entrance hall with a high dome and intricate reliefs. The venue has a rich history, having served as a cinema before transforming into a theatre. Recognized as a cultural monument, it stands as a testament to Belgrade's architectural evolution and cultural heritage.
