Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum (Hangar 1, Lowry)

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is located in Hangar 1 of the former Lowry Air Force Base and opened as a museum in 1994. The museum preserves aircraft, spacecraft and aviation artifacts and interprets the history of Lowry as a major military training base. Hangar 1 and several Lowry buildings date to the 1930s–1940s and are part of the historic fabric of Denver's Lowry neighborhood.
