John Hancock Tower (200 Clarendon Street)

200 Clarendon Street, commonly called the John Hancock Tower, is the tallest building in New England at 790 feet and was completed in 1976. Designed by Henry N. Cobb of I.M. Pei & Partners, the glass-clad skyscraper is a defining element of the Back Bay skyline. During its early years the building experienced well-documented façade issues, including falling and bowing windows, which were repaired in a major remediation project.
