Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)

The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) opened in 2000 as the Experience Music Project, founded by Paul Allen and housed in a Frank Gehry–designed building. It contains rotating exhibitions and gallery spaces devoted to contemporary music, science fiction, and popular culture, alongside permanent music-related collections. MoPOP regularly collaborates with visual artists and designers to present exhibitions that intersect popular media and contemporary art.
