Old Settlers' Cemetery historic grave markers

Old Settlers' Cemetery is a historic burial ground in Uptown Charlotte that contains gravestones and marker stones for early settlers, Revolutionary War veterans, and 19th-century civic leaders. The cemetery preserves original stone headstones and family marker stones dating to the late 18th and 19th centuries. Some markers were documented and conserved during city efforts when nearby streets and development altered surrounding land. The site is municipally maintained and interpreted as one of Charlotte's earliest historic cemeteries.
