Spanish Village Art Center - working artist studios in Balboa Park

Spanish Village Art Center was developed as part of the 1935-36 California Pacific International Exposition and has operated since as a cluster of working artist studios and galleries in Balboa Park. The site houses dozens of resident artists producing ceramics, painting, glasswork, jewelry and other crafts, with studios open to the public for demonstrations and sales. Spanish Village functions as a longstanding hub of San Diego's visual-arts community and hosts regular art events and markets. Visitors can observe artists at work and purchase locally made artwork on site.
