Taylor Hall (Hawkinsville, Georgia)

Taylor Hall, built in 1825, is the oldest house in Pulaski County, Georgia, showcasing Greek Revival and 'Plantation Plain' architectural styles. Originally constructed by Dr. Robert Newsom Taylor using Creek Indian labor, the house was relocated in 1836 to its current site after being dismantled. It has survived various historical challenges, including Yankee encampments and periods of neglect. Now restored, Taylor Hall features original wainscoting and hand-hewn pine planks, although it remains a private residence with limited public access.
