Washington Nationals' 2019 World Series championship

The Washington Nationals won the 2019 World Series, the franchise's first World Series title and the first World Series championship for a Washington, D.C. team since the 1924 Washington Senators. The Nationals played their home postseason games at Nationals Park during the 2019 playoffs. The 2019 championship ended a 95‑year World Series drought for Washington baseball teams and prompted city celebrations and a victory parade in D.C.
