Boston Garden and TD Garden (arena redevelopment)

The original Boston Garden arena stood at 150 Causeway Street from 1928 until it closed and was demolished in the late 1990s; it was long noted for its timber floor and intimate sightlines. The adjacent TD Garden opened in 1995 at 100 Legends Way as a modern replacement and continues to serve as Boston's primary indoor sports and events arena, home to the Celtics and Bruins.
