Wegener House

Wegener House, located on Vesterbrogade in Copenhagen's Vesterbro district, is a historic mid-19th century building complex with a rich cultural history. Originally the site of James Price's summer theatre, it evolved into a significant property after being acquired by royal historian C.F. Wegener in 1856. Wegener expanded the complex with a new rear wing and a library for his extensive collection of over 22,000 books. The building features a unique skywalk connecting the library and the rear wing. It was listed as a protected building in 1981, making it a notable landmark for tourists and researchers interested in Copenhagen's architectural and theatrical heritage.
