Shade Gap Feed and Flour Mill

The Shade Gap Feed and Flour Mill, also known as the C.J. Hess Mill, is a historic grist mill located in Dublin Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1846, this three-story frame building features a one-story office and is notable for its clapboard siding and rubble stone foundation. Although it ceased operations as a flour mill in the early 1970s, it remains in use as a livestock feed mill. The mill was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers interested in American industrial history.
