George Batchelder House

The George Batchelder House, built in 1825, is a notable example of Federal period architecture located in Reading, Massachusetts. This historic house, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, features distinctive architectural details such as an elaborate entrance with tapered pilasters and a starburst louver. Originally facing Main Street, the house was relocated in 1947 to accommodate a gas station.
