Kursaal of Algeciras

The Kursaal of Algeciras, located in the scenic Paseo del Rio de la Miel, is a striking building designed by artist Guillermo Pérez Villalta and architect Enrique Salvo, opened in 2007 after extensive renovations. Originally intended as the Chamber of Commerce of Gibraltar, it features stunning mosaics that reflect the mythological heritage of the Strait of Gibraltar. Visitors can explore its lighthouse tower via a spiral staircase and enjoy the main auditorium and library within. The Kursaal serves as a cultural hub, fostering relations between the Maghreb and the Fundación Dos Orillas, making it a vibrant center for cultural activities and events.
