Woolworth Building

Designed by Cass Gilbert and completed in 1913, the Woolworth Building at 233 Broadway was the tallest building in the world until 1930. Nicknamed the 'Cathedral of Commerce,' it is a National Historic Landmark celebrated for its neo-Gothic terracotta facade and richly ornamented lobby. The building originally served as the corporate headquarters for the F. W. Woolworth Company and remains an iconic example of early 20th-century skyscraper design.
