The Consolidated Building, affectionately known as 'Johnnies', is a historic office building located in the Marshalltown district of Johannesburg, South Africa. Completed in 1906, it showcases the American office block style, designed by architect Theo H. Smith. Originally built as six storeys, it was later expanded to eight in 1935. The building features a striking brick facade with plaster embellishments and a polished granite base, reflecting its architectural significance. It is recognized as a heritage asset due to its cultural and social ties to the Johannesburg Consolidated Investment Corporation and its founder, Barney Barnato.
