Library@esplanade

library@esplanade was Singapore's first public library dedicated to the performing arts, located within the Esplanade Mall. Opened in 2002, it aimed to enhance public appreciation of music, dance, theatre, and film through a diverse collection of over 50,000 volumes, including books, audio-visual materials, and specialized resources. The library featured unique amenities such as practice rooms, screening areas, and exhibition spaces, hosting regular programs and exhibitions that engaged the local arts community. Unfortunately, it closed permanently on June 30, 2023, with its collections relocated to the National Library, making way for new arts and commercial spaces.
