Ted Williams Tunnel (Logan Airport highway link)

The Ted Williams Tunnel carries the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) under Boston Harbor and provides a direct highway connection between downtown Boston and Logan International Airport. Constructed as part of the Central Artery/Tunnel Project, the tunnel runs beneath water and land to serve airport traffic. It is named for Boston Red Sox legend Ted Williams and remains a major vehicular route to the airport.
