Henry Charles Eitzen Building

The Henry Charles Eitzen Building, also known as the Oscar H. Guether Store Building and Hy. Poppenheusen Tin Shop, is a historic commercial structure located in Washington, Missouri. Constructed around 1854, this 2 1/2-story building showcases German Neoclassical architecture in the Klassisismus style. An additional one-story brick ell was added before 1893. Recognized for its historical significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in American architectural history.
