Austin Central Library rooftop garden and terrace

The Austin Central Library, opened in 2017, includes a publicly accessible rooftop garden and outdoor reading terrace that affords views of Lady Bird Lake and parts of the downtown skyline. The terrace features native plantings, seating areas, and large windows connecting interior reading spaces to the exterior. The rooftop is intentionally designed as an elevated civic space for visitors and program activities and is part of the library's public amenities.
