Verdão

Estádio Governador José Fragelli, commonly known as Verdão, was a prominent multi-purpose stadium located in Cuiabá, Brazil, with a capacity of 55,000. Opened in 1976, it served as the home ground for local football clubs Mixto, Dom Bosco, and Operário. Notable for its inaugural match where Mixto triumphed over Dom Bosco, Verdão also hosted significant events, including a record-setting 14-0 victory for Mixto in 1980. As Cuiabá prepared to host matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Verdão was replaced by a new stadium, leading to its demolition in 2010. The area is rich in infrastructure, boasting numerous hospitals and hotels, making it a key destination for sports enthusiasts and tourists alike.
