Bureau of Engraving and Printing - Western Currency Facility

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth opened in 1991 to increase U.S. currency production capacity. It is one of only two BEP facilities that produce Federal Reserve notes for circulation. The facility manufactures billions of banknotes annually as part of the federal currency production system.
