Majestic Theatre (historic atmospheric auditorium)

The Majestic Theatre opened in 1921 as a vaudeville and movie palace and is located in downtown Dallas. Its auditorium is an example of an 'atmospheric' theater design, featuring a painted night-sky ceiling with twinkling lights and ornate plasterwork. The Majestic has been restored and continues to operate as a performing-arts venue hosting concerts, Broadway touring shows, and special events.
