Moller Villa

Moller Villa, located in the historic French Concession area of Shanghai, is a stunning colonial-era mansion built in 1936 by Swedish shipping magnate Eric Moller. Its unique architecture features a blend of Gothic and Tudor styles with distinctive brown-tiled gables, spires, and steeples, reflecting both Scandinavian influences and Chinese elements. The villa has a rich history, having served various purposes, including being occupied by Japanese military forces and later as a headquarters for the Communist Youth League. Today, after extensive renovations, it operates as a hotel, offering visitors a glimpse into its fascinating past and beautiful surroundings, including a lawn that encircles a tomb for Moller's beloved horse and pets.
