The Crystal Ballroom's floating dance floor

The Crystal Ballroom, opened in 1914, is known for its historic sprung or "floating" dance floor that has been used for dances and concerts for more than a century. The venue's ornate ballroom and mezzanine have hosted a wide range of performances and social events and the building is operated as part of the McMenamins historic-venue chain. The ballroom remains a distinctive performance and dance landmark in downtown Portland.
