Tenney Homestead

The Tenney Homestead is a historic First Period house located in Stow, Massachusetts, dating back to the early 18th century. Notable for its large central chimney made of stone and brick, it is one of the few surviving period houses in Middlesex County to feature stone construction. Additionally, the house showcases unique horizontal sheathing with evidence of sponge-applied paint. The Tenney family inhabited the house from its construction until the 20th century, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture.
