Yellow Palace, Copenhagen

The Yellow Palace, or Det Gule Palæ, is an 18th-century Neoclassical mansion located in the Frederiksstaden district of Copenhagen, adjacent to Amalienborg Palace. Originally built for merchant Frederik Bargum, it became a royal residence in 1810 when acquired by King Frederick VI. The mansion is notable for being the birthplace of several prominent figures, including Frederik VIII of Denmark and Alexandra, Queen of the United Kingdom. Today, it serves as the Lord Chamberlain's Office and showcases the architectural elegance of early Neoclassicism in Denmark.
