RCA Studio B and the Nashville Sound

RCA Studio B was constructed in 1957 on what is now Roy Acuff Place and became a key site in the development of the late-1950s/1960s 'Nashville Sound.' Producers and session musicians associated with the studio-often called the 'Nashville A-Team'-recorded numerous country and pop crossover hits there. Artists including Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Chet Atkins made commercially significant recordings at Studio B.
